Bags of Shoes

One time about 2 years ago, Dad had just gotten out of the hospital. He wanted to go to a huge Shoe store.

He picked out a pair of shoes he liked and saId, "I'll take 4 pairs of those and 2 pairs of these."

The salesman was young and didn't recognize Dad. He said, "sir, those are $119.00 FOR each pair, did you know that?"
Dad...""okay, that's fine..I like them."

We got up to the counter, Dad PULLED out his credit card, and the salesman said, "That's cool..you have the same name as a famous singer..JOHNNY CASH."
dad said, "is that right?"
the kid said, "yeah, I like him..he's cool."

dad just said, "really? HMM..I guess he is kinda cool, turned and winked at me."

The salesman said, "wait..ARE YOU Johnny Cash?"
dad said, "yep. I have been for a long time."

The kid blushed and apologized all over himself.

Dad just said, "Son, don't worry..I'm old, ugly and sick.
Out we walked with several BAGS OF SHOES.
THE KID'S MOUTH WAS WIDE OPEN AS WE LEFT.
